Welcome to Norbury
We are a friendly, ambitious and thriving primary school serving our local area in Hazel Grove.
Relationships are critical to our school. We pride ourselves on getting to know our families well so that we can support and nurture the children during their time with us. We are inclusive in our approach truly valuing each individual child and working to meet all needs both within our universal offer and more widely when necessary.
The learning journey we offer is unique to our school. Our core offer of English and maths is carefully planned to allow each child the opportunity to make the very best progress from their starting points. As part of our wider curriculum, the children learn through a Quest experience where learning is meaningful, engaging and where the children can lead their own outcomes. We have a dedicated staff team who work hard to keep learning fresh and effective.
We are proud to be part of the Four Rivers Trust and benefit from working closely with the other schools in the trust both learning from and supporting each other.
The children at Norbury Hall Primary School really are our very best asset. They are a delight to work with and it is a privilege to see them grow and develop during their time with us.
You are very welcome to visit our school to find out more.

Children spend 20% of their primary school education – around 1.4 years – in play. Yet most schools lack a strategic, values-led approach to it.
Play develops what cannot be taught: wiring the brain, strengthening the body and building relationships. OPAL helps schools create outdoor play environments that are safe, yet challenging enough to support every child’s growth through creativity, collaboration and active play.

Just a reminder that we are having an OPAL working party day on Friday 23rd January from 9.15am,
where we would like some volunteers to help us to construct some shelters for resources and some wellie boot storage using the pallets that have been donated. If you are handy with a drill, prepared to clear and dig or if you could help organise resources you would be perfect for this job! Even if you could spare us half an hour that would be amazing. We will have made some prototypes to get us started.
There will also be some bacon butties for encouragement!
If you can offer your support please get in touch with us at: [email protected]
We are really excited about this project and hope that you will support us in our efforts to improve playtimes
for all children.

We believe that at Norbury Hall, we provide an engaging and safe environment for all the children in our care to grow and develop.
Inclusion at Norbury HallAt Norbury Hall, we nurture every learner’s potential in a supportive, understanding environment. We believe in giving our young people every chance to grow—socially, emotionally, personally, and academically.
