ABOUT US
Welcome to Norbury Hall Primary School. We are a two – form entry school that forms part of the Hazel Grove and High Lane Cluster of schools. Like many schools in Stockport we remain maintained by the Local Authority and enjoy being a school that is centred around its families and the local community. We have 420 pupils in our main building and a further 40 children on roll in our nursery.
We have a nursery provision for children aged 3 and offer fifteen hours of childcare in either of two sessions. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning or Wednesday afternoons, Thursday and Friday. You can find out more on our EYFS Page.
Our classes work in parallel so that what is experienced by learners in one class is also experienced by the other class. Our teachers have dedicated time, weekly, to plan for our personalised curriculum and we take pride in developing new themes each term, each year. You can find out more about this on our Curriculum Vision Pages and our Year Group Pages.
Each team is supported by a group of teaching assistants who have a wealth of expertise in a range of interventions, skills and specialisms.
We work closely with a range of agencies and support teams from the Local Authority and this enhances our offer to the learners in our care. You can find out more about this on Our Inclusion at Norbury Page.
We are fortunate to have our own resident Play Therapist on site, Juliette, who works with children across the school to develop our mindful philosophy and support a healthy attitude to mental health for everyone associated with Norbury Hall. You can find out more about this on Our Mindfulness Page.
We have two staff members who have qualifications in Forest School and this forms part of our deeper curriculum focused on bringing the outside in at Norbury. You can find out more about this on our Bringing the Outdoors In Page.
Our Governing Board are strongly committed to supporting our whole school ethos and more can be found about them on our Governance at Norbury Page.
You can find out more about our fantastic team by going to the Meet The Team Page.
