Our Board is made of the following members:

Carolyn Garner – Chair. Resources Committee. Health and Safety Governor. Pay Appeals Committee. HT Pay Performance Committee. Pay Committee.

I have been a governor at Norbury Hall Primary School since 2012. I am currently Chair of Governors. I became involved as a governor when I was on maternity leave as I wanted to use my professional experience to support the school. I have enjoyed working with the leadership team as they continue to provide quality first teaching in a safe and healthy environment, despite the financial challenging times and the changing political priorities. As a resources committee we strive to ensure that the school makes best use of the limited funding we receive to give the learners the exciting and inspiring education they deserve.

Rebecca Tinker-EYFS Governor. Resources Committee Member. Governor Training Lead. Pay Appeals Committee.

I’ve been a governor at Norbury Hall since September 2014 – initially as a parent governor and latterly I was co-opted. I sit on the resources sub-committee and am the EYFS governor within the board. I’ve had an association with the school for some time as my two daughters are pupils. I also took over Norbury Hall’s before and after school provision in 2018. I work within the early years childcare sector, and for many of the children I care for their next step is onto Norbury Hall. As such, I have a great passion for seeing all children encouraged to achieve well and perform to their full potential at the school, and find it very rewarding to see just how pro-actively the school team and governing body work together to achieve the best possible outcomes for all pupils, within a safe and supportive environment.

At the last FGB Meeting held Nov 18th 2020 Rebecca declared business interests as Manager of Little Tinkers Childcare , providers of wraparound care at the school as well as owning and running a local Early Years Provision.

Zoe Pickering Well – Being Governor. Learning & Teaching Committee Shadow Chair.

I am a Parent Governor and I am the Governor for Wellbeing at Norbury Hall. I sit on the Resources and Learning and Teaching Committee. I am a mum to two girls, one who has completed her Norbury journey and one who is in KS2. Being a parent governor allows me to give a small amount back to a place that has given my children so much

Jane Holland- Learning &Teaching Committee Member.

My youngest daughter currently attends Norbury Hall Primary School and I was pleased to be appointed to the Governing Board as a Parent Governor in November 2018. I attend meetings of the Full Governing Board and the Learning and Teaching Committee. I also attend training sessions organised by GOVAS (Stockport Governors Association) and the Local Authority and I am often invited to school events and activities.

I work full-time as a Senior Governance Officer in higher education and I have a sound knowledge of strategic governance and experience of the current challenges facing the education sector. I feel it is important to give children the best possible start to their education, not only in an academic sense but also in wider areas of learning, personal development and enrichment. The school is a huge part of family life and the local community and I am keen to support the vision and values in supporting the children to be happy, healthy global citizens.
