Dyslexia is a specific learning difficulty that affects the ability to read and spell. Dyslexia can also cause difficulties with basic maths (especially the order of numbers and multiplication tables), general literacy skills, word interpretation and perception, organisational skills, short term memory, sequencing and processing information. 

We are a Dyslexia Friendly School and this is the Award which we achieved in 2024. ​

Congratulations to the staff and pupils of Norbury Hall Primary School in gaining Stockport’s Dyslexia Friendly School Award. You have shown such dedication to achieve this, which
is reflected in your school environment, staff knowledge and practise, as well as pupil’s
self-awareness and positivity. It has been a pleasure to spend the day in your school.
We have been welcomed from the outset and have really enjoyed hearing about your
