Spring Term:
​‘When do I? Where do I? ’

Dear Parents and Carers,
We have been really enjoying our learning all about our current Quest over the last few weeks. Last week and this week we have looked further into the ‘When do I?’ aspect of our Quest. We have taken our learning to look at the history of transport.
In Reception we are:

• Looking at different types of vehicles and transport
• Looking at similarities and differences between types of transport
• Finding out more about how transport has changed throughout history
• Exploring the vocabulary of past, present and future
• Creating our own modes of transports using different resources e.g. junk modelling, natural resources and using playdough
• Applying our phonic knowledge to our writing and focussing on using finger spaces between each new word
• Recognising and ordering numbers to 20
• Practically solving subtraction questions

Our Trip

You should have now received the letter about our school trip, which we are very excited about. We will be going to Imagine That! on Tuesday 13th May 2025. We will be needing some help for this trip and would be very grateful if you would be able to join us. If you are able to help, we will be in contact to confirm this.

Key Dates for your Diary

• Wednesday 19th March: Odd Shoe Day – School Council Fundraising Event
• Wednesday 19th March and Thursday 20th March: Height and Weight checks for Reception children in school
• Monday 24th March: Vision screening for those children that did not get seen last time
• Friday 11th April: School finishes for Easter break
