Hannah Garrett Co-opted Governor
I started working at Norbury Hall in September 2005 in a Year 5 class. I am currently in my third term of office as governor, where I started as a staff governor and then moved to be a co-opted governor a few years ago.
I chose to be a staff governor as I wanted to offer a teacher's perspective on important school matters and broaden my own knowledge of how our school runs; whilst also being able to communicate the viewpoint of teachers at meetings. Norbury has a strong feeling of solidarity with a warm and strong community driven school, with excellent support from parents and staff and it is a pleasure to be part of this environment.

I work full-time as a Governance Manager at the University of Manchester. I have a sound knowledge of strategic governance and experience of the education sector's current challenges.

Rebecca Tinker EYFS Governor. Resources Committee Member. Pay Appeals Committee
I’ve been a governor at Norbury Hall since September 2014 – initially as a parent governor and latterly I was co-opted. I sit on the resources sub-committee and am the EYFS governor within the board. I’ve had an association with the school for some time as my two daughters were pupils. I also took over Norbury Hall’s before and after school provision in 2018. I work within the early years childcare sector, and for many of the children I care for their next step is onto Norbury Hall. As such, I have a great passion for seeing all children encouraged to achieve well and perform to their full potential at the school, and find it very rewarding to see just how pro-actively the school team and governing body work together to achieve the best possible outcomes for all pupils, within a safe and supportive environment.
At the last FGB Meeting, Rebecca declared business interests as Manager of Little Tinkers Childcare, providers of wraparound care at the school as well as owning and running a local Early Years Provision.
